Abstract
Binahong is one of plants that can use as a medicinal plant. Had been known that the content of Binahong secondary have the activity on anti bacteria. Wounds and acne can be caused by one of bacteria, there is Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of bacteria can encountered around us. Binahong is one of the plants can be used as a material for our wounds and acne with formulated as a gel. This study can be collected to determine the activity of extract gel ethanol of leaves binahong towards Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. Extract obtained with the way maserasi using solvent ethanol 70% made in 5 series concentration 25%, 40%, 55%, 70%, and 85% in the test on Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. The most value of KHM is 8,6 mm from concentrate 70% and 85%. And then formulated into formulation supplies gel: karbopol, TEA, propilenglikol, gliserin, dan metil paraben.
