Abstract
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a disease that causes decreased renal function (GFR < 15 ml/mnt/1.73 m2 ) so that the body fails to maintain the metabolism and balance of electrolytes. Hemodialysis is a renal substitute therapy in patients with chronic renal failure. The process of hemodialysis can be carried out for two or three times a week for three to five hours. The tools used in hemodialysis therapy are dialyzer which can be used disposable (single use Dialyzer) and recurrent (reuse Dialyzer). The effectiveness of hemodialysis can be known based on Kt/V value, URR value and hemoglobin level. This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the use of single use and reuse Dialyzer to the characteristics of patients, Kt/V value, Urr value, hemoglobin level and the relationship between the characteristics of patients with hemodialysis. The research design used is cross-sectional with retrospective data retrieval based on medical records with a sample of 69 people. The Data obtained is analyzed using Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS) with Chi-Square analysis technique. Data analysis results can be said to be related when the p value < 0.05. The results showed that the characteristics of patients who undergo more hemodialysis at the age of < 60 years 71%, women 50.7%, patients not working 95.7%, hemodialysis prolonged ≥ 2 years 92.8%, and diseases of the maltreatment of hypertension 85.5%. There is no significant difference to the use of each dialyzer and only the gender characteristics that have a significant influence on the parameters of hemodialysis.
