Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in Indonesia by Minister of Health Republic Indonesia had a prevalence of 2% or around 499.800 people. Quality of Life ia an important indicator of result evaluation of hemodialysis in CKD patients. International study result showed that quality of life is a mortality indicator in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis.The goals in this research is to identify characteristics of sociodemography, identify comparison of quality of life between patients single use and reuse, and identify factors affecting the quality of life of CKD patients. This study used cross sectional design in 39 research subjects undergoing hemodialysis in RSUD Mardi Waluyo Blitar City at February-July, 2020. As much 30 subjects used reuse dialyzer and 9 subjects used single use dialyzer. Subjects interviewed KDQoL SF-36 quesioner. As much 6 (66,7%) male respondents and 3 (33,3%) female respondents, majority of respondents are Elemntary School (33,3%) and Senior High School (33,3%), majority of respondents are unemployed (55,6%), BMI normal (77,8%), age <60 years (77,8%), Hypertension stage 2 (55,6%), Hb >10 g/dL (66,7%), long time of HD ≥5 years (66,7%), frequency of HD twice a week, income <5 millions a month on single use group. Male 13 (43,3%) respondents and female 17 (56,7%) respondents, majority of respondents are Senior High School (36,7%), majority of respondents are unemployed (40,0%), BMI normal (53,5%), age <60 years (70,0%), prehypertension (30,0%), Hb >10 g/dL (56,7%), long time of HD <5 years (63,3%), frequency of HD twice a week, and income <5 millions a month on reuse group. Single use has a better quality of life on domain physical health, on domain menthal health, kidney disease problems and patients satisfaction reuse has a better quality of life. There are the affects between age, sex, education, long time of HD, and social support factors to quality of life. Quality of Life reuse group is better than single use group on three quality of life domains. Keywords: CKD, KDQoL, quality of life, reuse, single use
