Abstract
Moringa leaf extract can be used as an antioxidant because it contains flavonoid compounds. Emulgel preparations were made from a combination of olive oil and Moringa leaf extract to increase its effectiveness as an antioxidant. This study aims to determine the effect of the concentration of carbomer-940 on the physical stability of emulgel preparations with variations in concentration (F1) 0.25%, (F2) 0.5%, and (F3) 0.75%. The evaluations carried out included organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH tests, adhesion tests, dispersibility tests, viscosity tests, protection tests, and rancidity tests for maximum storage of 28 days. The results of statistical analysis showed that the variation of Karbomer-940 significantly affected the physical stability of the emulgel preparations such as pH, adhesion, dispersibility, and viscosity (p<0.05).
